The tamp-blow is ideal for applications where you’re dealing with a lightweight container where a tamp could move the product or jar the product. Instead of the tamp pad actually making contact with that product that could harm a sensitive or fragile product, the tamp blow goes out to a point near the product and then a blast of air pushes the label on to the container.

For tamp-blow labels, a very aggressive adhesive is recommended. The gap between the product and tamp should be as small as possible. The greater the gap, the greater chances external air currents, like air conditioning, can affect placement accuracy of the label.
