The Cognex DataMan 800 handheld image based readers comes in three models: Cognex DataMan 800, 850 and 855 Reader versions which all feature unique targeting pattern to increase productivity and 1D and 2D omnidirectional scanning.

Providing true point-and-shoot barcode capture the DataMan 800 reader has a 1.3 megapixel imager reading 1D/2D barcodes with no need to orient products to face the scanner window with a viewfinder for quick barcode captures the first time. Easily switch to hands-free operation to safely scan larger items. Built for rigorous use with tempered glass exit window and six foot drop specification.

Designed for industrial fast paced production environments, the DataMan 850 with a 624Mhz processor and CMOS image sensors allows for faster and accurate scanning of barcodes at a faster rate than standard readers and can read both 1D and 2D Data Matrix or QR codes regardless of size or density. Built rugged for harsh environments, a rugged corded reader with IP65 rating, 6.5 foot drops to concrete, scratch resistant exit window which is recessed for the highest level of durability. Allowing for noisy machinery and poor lighting, the DataMan 850 had an adjustable volume beeper, bright LEDs and a vibrating handle for decode feedback which is both audible and visible.

The cordless DataMan 855 offers industrial features along with Bluetooth technology allowing it to connect with a host and for users to move about freely in their workspace improving safety, productivity and efficiency and is tough enough to keep it running when you need it most.
