Cal Amp LMU 2600The CalAmp LMU-2600 vehicle tracking unit is an affordable and robust device for all AVL or automatic vehicle location applications offering high reliability fleet customers demand using a 3-axis accelerometer for measuring behavior and vehicle impacts. The LMU-2600 incorporates GSM/GPRS, CDMA 1xRTT, or HSPA wireless communication along with extra-sensitive GPS, a powerful processing engine, and a 3-axis accelerometer that detects and acts on hard braking, aggressive acceleration, or vehicle impacts. Internal or external antenna options enables the device to be mounted virtually anywhere for easy, inexpensive installations.

Employing an on-board alert engine called PEG (Programmable Event Generator) the CalAmp LMU-2600 tracking unit is continually monitored by PEG and instantaneously responds to thresholds rules by application such as time, date, motion, location, geo-zone, input and other even combinations allowing you to meet demanding customer requirements. This behavior can be programmed before shipment or over-the-air once the unit has been fielded.

The CalAmp LMU-2600 also leverages CalAmp’s industry leading over-the-air device management and maintenance system, PULS (Programming, Updates, and Logistics System). Configuration parameters, PEG rules, and firmware can all be updated over the air. PULS offers out-of-the-box hands free configuration and automatic post-installation upgrades. You can also monitor unit health status across your customers’ fleets to quickly identify issues before they become expensive problems.
